After Death Paperwork

After a death, significant paperwork requires attention. Navigating these requirements can feel overwhelming, especially when grieving.

The Departure handles all necessary documentation as part of its burial or cremation services.

The following information applies to the death of a known adult. For unknown adults, children, babies, or special circumstances, please contact me directly – these situations require different care.


ADMINISTRATION SERVICE FEES - $590

  • Arranging the Death Certificate or Coroner’s Release Order

  • Cremation* or Burial** paperwork

  • Registering the death with Births, Deaths & Marriages.

  • Returning the Death Certificate to a designated person.


CREMATION FORMS*

1. A Medical Certificate of Cause of Death or Coroner’s Release.

2. Cremation Authorisation (a second doctor).

3. Cremation Certificate (for the cremation process).

4. Application for Right of Interment (if ashes are placed in a cemetery).

BURIAL FORMS**

1. A Medical Certificate of Cause of Death or Coroner’s Release.

2. Application for Right of Interment (for burial plot).

3. Authorisation of Interment.
